Laytime Expert

As an Expert in Laytime and Demurrage, I manage many  Laytime calculations and disputes daily for various reputable Ship owners, Operators and Freight traders.

In addition, I advise and assist with Contract and Clause design to optimise and mitigate Laytime risk. This is done through Demurrage Desk, a service I founded in 2014. 

In 2022 Demurrage Desk teamed up with Ince of London in an initiative called InceDemurrage (www.incedemurrage.com), a one-stop solution for efficient and beneficial settlements. 

I lecture Laytime, Demurrage and Operations at the Cambridge Academy of Transport and am a frequent speaker at several Universities, Institutes and fora. 

I am a member of The Baltic Expert Witness Association.
